Hosting Initiative

The hosting industry faces many environmental challenges. Our hosting partners are committed to solving those challenges. The data centers are designed using energy efficient hardware and processors that consume less energy. Working with industry leaders we are confident that our data centers’ emissions and power consumption will be reduced while still considering the quality of service offered. Our partner’s positive contributions will provide a more environmentally sustainable future for everyone.

Meeka Designs has gone paperless. From the initial proposal to the final invoice, we send everything to our clients via email or Internet. If we have a need to print, we use recycled paper and preview everything to prevent duplications.

We recycle everything from plastic bottles to printer cartridges. We turn off lights and computers not in use and draw on natural light throughout the day. Our equipment and lighting are powered by energy efficient sources. During the summer, we open the windows instead of turning on air conditioning and in the winter we reduce our heating and wear a little extra.

Most of our meetings are done over the phone or via the Internet using online meeting solutions. This approach saves on fuel and allows us to be more efficient with our time.

Experience tells us that consumers react positively to companies that make an effort to become greener. Therefore we encourage our clients to run online marketing campaigns instead of traditional campaigns. Using this approach, our clients not only save time, money and paper, they have the added benefits of better customer response rates and communications.
